I would save (if you haven't already crafted FM) because in the upgrades in phase 2 is more increases in fertilizer corn payouts, more people earning things (I dislike crafting in general because it encourages us not to build things as soon as we can and that means I wind up with not a lot of fun decorating in the event)

That's kind of what I'm leaning towards, now. I agree on your sentiments - All in all, crafting in previous events has largely been a disappointment. I do wish they'd give up on it already. This is, admittedly, the least annoying crafting system, but the sheer numbers are frustrating - even if they are manageable. The least they could do is have things like the cane field craftable once and then available in the store to purchase more for money.
