Same here. I've stopped getting them in neighbor towns, but I still get them in my town.

When I hit 250 from tapping little aliens in my neighbors towns, then it was just cash after that.

I'm having the same problem. I wasn't counting though, so I'm not sure how many probes I had earned before they stopped being paid out. I do still get the experience & cash for each, though.

I've since noticed that when I go to my "neighbor area" (that displays all their towns), if I click on the "?" in the bottom left, it says I have 0 probes left for 0 friends (or something like that). Hopefully, it "refills" daily.

I stopped getting probes after a while (I didn't notice how many towns it had been.)

But, this is weird, I started getting probes in neighbor's towns again. It's way before 24 hours. I've only been playing this event since this afternoon.

The only noteworthy thing was that it was exactly midnight my time when I started getting probes again. But I really think that's just a coincidence because I don't remember TSTO ever working that way, and I'm not in the same time zone anyway so it would be really odd for anything to happen at midnight my time.

I wonder if we'll cycle so many towns on, then so many towns off, then back on, etc for the probes?

Has this happened for anyone else?

nope, no new probes yet, and i was playing last night from like 10pm-1am, and ran out of probes from my neighbors around 11:30pm. i'm hoping i'll be able to collect more tonight.
