I know the tasks are more than likely random......but......could the system read that you're skipping tasks? Surely EA know the chances are people will do this to try and earn more donuts, but could they have put something in place to stop the system being abused so to speak?
Tied with this, I found that after buying Jesse I seemed to hit a streak of donut producing DC's. Again I have no idea if it's linked in some way, but maybe, just maybe it is?
Possibly related to reading skipping tasks, but anecdotal evidence here on the forums suggests that skipping isn't necessarily detrimental. In fact the only two 1-donut tasks I got were skippers!
And I also got Jesse right away. Whereas he appears to be your lucky charm, for me (if anything) it has been just the opposite. - Money Money Money
This trash is useless. - I doubt they went into any level of complexity with how things are picked. Only being able to skip one a day there is no possible abuse. In all likelihood it is a relatively flat fixed chance for each option to be picked each time. With a large enough player sample base and detailed tracking of what they get over the course of months could indicate with an acceptable margin of error the chances. This of course assuming those chances are not visible to someone looking under the hood.

I agree. As mentioned in the original post, I'm not griping or complaining, I can stick it out if it's just random. I just remember the first couple of weeks I was able to get donuts nearly every day, and it feels like something has changed. Reading over these posts, I'm relieved that this does not appear to be the case.Raven_Darkstorm wrote:

"Look under the hood"??? Surely there isn't a forum regular here who can do that! Now let's give up this wild speculation and let's play nintendo... - I've gotten a donut item daily except yesterday.
Even with the SH tasks, it says 1 donut to generate 40 pieces of furniture.
Gotten 3 donuts twice to send Lisa to the stage. I dismissed yesterday's but gave me another cash one - which it wouldn't let me dismiss that one for some reason. So I just did it (8 hour for wiggum).
Favorite was free donuts for completing jobs, or collecting from buildings - or today to get 75 Krustyland tickets. - Lots of single donut/cash/SH material days for me on my main town. Lots of 6 donut days in a row for my alternate town.
- We might as well just all flip a quarter five times in a row and compare results.
Sure, no doubt some are having short-term bad luck and some are having short-term great luck. From from what we can tell though it's truly random. (Although the anecdotal evidence that says otherwise can be amusing to read about at times, so I guess that keeps the flames fanning.)
My gripe is when I forget to check the challenge when a new one is available. For example, the other day I opened the game sometime after midnight to re-do the Redwood tree tasks. I then collected money from a few buildings and next thing I know I got a notification that I had completed the Daily Challenge. I checked and it was to collect money from some buildings. From that I won I think $1000. Oh boy. stinkbugger wrote:

Inorite?
(& I did that 3 days in a row not too long ago... )- Getting a lot of $$$ or SH tasks. One donut tasks maybe every one in three days. I've had a couple of 3 donut tasks but no 6 donut tasks.
Wouldn't mind but the other two gamers in my household have had several 6 tasks each??? anaquarind wrote:

I've been getting much more for cash or SH currencies. Only maybe 3 in the last week were for donuts, even after switching out one most days. Had to break down and do a couple for cash because I couldn't carry enough forward.
Maybe EA is victimizing Canadians with a low donut exchange rate? :P
I'm getting donuts. I'm in Canada. French Canada. Maybe just you Ontario boys and girls.
