Debris that just won't stay cleaned

Yes, it's a common glitch. I have it too.

You can hide it behind something if it bugs you. Or, you can mine it for donuts.

Or both. :D
  • Thanks so much montywash!! I have gotten 2 donuts so far.

So sorry to bother you Johnny50373...I didn't realize that a post with a comment was a lot of talking.
  • Has anyone gotten donuts from this reappearing garbage when using Homer to clean? For me, I've only gotten the occasional donut when Lisa is cleaning, never from Homer. Is this just a coincidence?

I have gotten donuts from both. I usually use Lisa because she is then easy to task to a nearby tree for reading while I visit friends. However, I had her running around doing the Thanksgiving tasks and switched to Homer. He, too, delivered, at about the same rate.

Like level jamming, which I also do, this is a slow and laborious way to earn donuts. But, if you're just watching the game or completely bored, you can eventually earn yourself a Frick's Lab or whatever niftiness will come our way with the next update.

Here's what I do when I'm jamming the trash for donuts:

    1. Have Lisa/Homer clean it, tap the completion icon, check for donut.
    2. No donut? Immediately hit the Visit Friend icon - don't bother picking anything up. As soon as it hits the ground, it will be added to your tally when you re-enter your SF, whether it is showing up right now or not (technically, this is true for donuts as well, but I don't take chances - those, I pick up. :) )
    3. In the Visit Friends screen, immediately it the Home button. Lisa (or Homer) will still be close enough to the now-respawned trash pile to do it again.
    4. Repeat until you are so bored you don't care about donuts. :D

As a side note, this also generates a surprising amount of cash. Even at the 17% bonus I had for most of levels 25-34, jamming the garbage pile was still the most profitable thing to do to get quick cash.
  • For some reason the donuts have totally dried up for me when cleaning this debris. I got six the first day and only one in the week or so since. I timed myself and using the same method as montywash I averaged 20 seconds per cleaning, so about 15 if I do it for 5 minutes straight (which is about as much as I can stand at a time). That's only $600 with my ridiculously low multiplier; not worth the grinding for me unless it starts kicking out the occasional donut again.

let me start by saying... im not trying to bash you or your thread.
your point about a lot of talking. this is hardly the first thread about this issue. that was directed at everyone.
i noticed you thanking monty. if you want those to be the last 2 you get from the glitch all we have to do is all get together, go to eas house, knock on the door and ask them to fix it. i would rather we dont do that. im trying to look out for everyone.
    welcome to the forum.
  • I tend to agree with Johnny, the more it is being talked about, the more chances it is going to be fixed by EA.
