- Vending machines would be great. The cigarette machines must have come out before the game was on kindle, because I never saw them. Do they increase consumerism?
I've tried to hide kem's, but haven't found it easy. I'm hiding a few houses and holiday trees and a gulp n blow, but can't find a good place to hide a kem, certainly couldn't hide enough to make a difference.
There is one clothing store, Costington's has mannequins in the windows. That was another limited time thing, though.
Dave, have you bought a bunch of stop signs or hail ants signs? Because that should increase your obedience. They're very easy to hide. I suppose a few Lady Justice statues would also help, but they're larger.
Cars, by all rights, should boost indolence. But no, they're vanity items like almost everything else. Oh well. - the cigarette machines helped VANITY not consumerism.

Actually, I'd look at cars as increasing consumerism. That is, you buy things at stores, and most people get to the store with a car. I think of staying home and lounging about, watching television or paying video games (ahem) as indolence. (On the other hand, I could see that it might be seen as lazy (aka indolent) to drive somewhere when you could walk instead ...)
Though if there was, say, a car dealership, buying a car would certainly count as consumerism... :) )annettemarc wrote:

That was sort of my thought. I'd be thrilled if they boosted consumerism, though.
Really, it would be kinda nice if they boosted anything but vanity. I probably have twice as many vanity points as I need by now, just from normal decorating. (Don't even have any aspirationals.)- billboards would be good for that.. preferably not premium

maybe a krusty burger one and bring back the mr sparkle billboardshasurveyi256 wrote:
I too have this problem---According to the Wiki, I have every building (even multiples of some) that affect Consumerism except for 2 that were even related that I missed (House of Evil and the Mapple Store).
Consumerism is the only rating that I can't reach 5 stars. am I supposed to Kwik E Mart farm?
yer unfortunately.. build a few and see how many it takes to get you to 5.. it took 8 for me and after the Christmas event i could get rid of a few.. shasurveyi256 wrote:

That is pretty much the only way right now, which is why I really want a little (non-premium!) decoration to boost it. It's much easier to place a small decoration than a whole KEM building. Gluttony has two such decorations, but there are none for consumerism.neuroheart wrote:

i have 6 Kwik-E-Marts to get 5 stars and only one of them is visableMaxxSpider wrote:

Well, that's nice for you. I've tried to hide KEMs and can never do it effectively, so I still only have the one. You must have many large buildings to hide them behind. I'm betting a good portion of them are premium.
Also, their little floating cash register would always be visible, and that would probably bug me.
It shouldn't still be necessary to have that many KEMs, anyway. That's my whole point. I don't have five gulp'n'blow or krustyburger restaurants, and my gluttony is still at five stars.neuroheart wrote:

Kwike Mart hides best behind King Homer's tower. You can also hide 1 behind the Wax Museum, 1 behind Clausco, 1 behind Spinster City Apartments, 1 behind Costingtons and 1 behind Channel 6 (all of which are NOT premium)rwvolture wrote:

exactly
if you put the Kong skyscraper next to clause co so that you are hiding the ugly Kong animation and the popsicle stick skyscaraper you can hide an amazing amount of stuff behind it. I am currently hiding 3 Kwik-E-Marts, snowball 2 balloon, Santas workshop, the present depot, and 2 holiday trees. yes there is money and registers floating there all the time but i don't mind i just collect the money and xp.
