- I agree I spent 20 dollars just now, without a gil bonus, to get Brandine, Howards Flowers, and Up up and buffet...for that I got to get rid of one, just one, corner Kwik E Mart...argh
- I'm going to state again that my whole point is that we shouldn't need half a dozen kwik e marts. No other rating requires so many of the same exact building to be at five stars. The only other rating based entirely off buildings is indolence, and at least there are different types of houses. It's frustrating to me from a design perspective, which is why I'm hoping for a simple and affordable decoration, because my rating is unlikely to be maxed in any other way. I know I'm not the only one.

Kwike Mart hides best behind King Homer's tower. You can also hide 1 behind the Wax Museum, 1 behind Clausco, 1 behind Spinster City Apartments, 1 behind Costingtons and 1 behind Channel 6 (all of which are NOT premium)
Most of the buildings that hide the entirety of the building are premium. (cracker factory, volcano lair, possibly the brewery; those are the largest buildings in the game as far as I know.)
I don't have King Homer out, I don't care for it much. Thought about putting it by Clausco, but it wouldn't fit into my design for that little holiday area. Also, it was an event item that not everyone will have.
My Clausco is hiding the hideous totem pole and the holiday tree, and a lot of people don't even have Clausco, because it was the rarest item on the holiday wheel of death and despair. If I can find another place to hide what's behind it now, I'll see if a KEM can go back there, but I'm not entirely sure it's wide enough to hide it.
Spinster City didn't really hide the KEM to my satisfaction. I have a blue house tucked behind there instead, to keep my indolence at five stars. It blends in fairly well, but I hope to get rid of it at some point. (I also tried to hide a KEM behind the hospital, but it also ended up with a blue house behind it.)
My Costingtons is basically right up against my mall, which blocks me putting a KEM entirely behind it. I tried to put one up against its back, but it looked weird to me. There's a second gulp'n'blow there, instead. (Also a limited event item that not everyone is going to have.) My Costingtons is also hiding three statues of Justice in the narrow space between it and the mall, which allowed me to get rid of all my extra stop signs.
You must have a freakishly huge Channel Six building if you can hide an entire KEM behind it. Mine fails to hide most of the building and their roofs do not match up to my satisfaction.
So that leaves the wax museum, which I only just started building because I finally decided where I wanted to put it. Perhaps I can tuck a KEM next to it, it looks like their roofs might match up okay. That's well and good, but one KEM is not going to raise my rating all the way up. At best it will get me to four stars.
It's way easier to hide a decoration, is my point here. (It's also easier to actually, you know, decorate with them, which I like.) - I keep all my farm items off to the side and out of my Springfield proper.
- How do you have 3.5 stars? I only have 3 and I have 3 premium buildings that help with it and 1 kwikemart.

No, that might be why. I stopped after a few as I needed more money.phoebexlois wrote:

Squidport is a big help with consumerism. I believe I have 13 stores that count for consumerism, and six of them are SP stores. It's a big reason I built SP in the first place, to be honest.neuroheart wrote:

I, embarrassingly, have 6 left to build (costs $339,500 altogether) and expand sea and build more boardwalk tiles (yay, fun). I will get onto that after building Springfield buildings I have leftphoebexlois wrote:

Now, I have 5 left, now building just rainsticks- I just realized that I forgot about a couple of my stores. So with the extra kem I just built, I have 16 stores (unless I'm forgetting anything else) and I'm still at 3.5 stars. :(
