Deleting Excess Friend Requests - Makes game load faster!

I can confirm your results. I was also losing connection and going to the Cannot Screen within a minute of loading my Springfield...every time. I just removed over 1000 old requests via the Origin software and no more Cannot Connect screen. I think we've fixed it though *crosses fingers* and glares at it.
Remember Simpsons00001? The one who made the guide originally? He had over 2,000 requests and could not load his friend list. He couldn't remove them, he couldn't add friends.
So word to the wise, do not let those requests stack up.
I clean them out daily.
Also don't forget to remove the ones that you have sent out that are still pending, the only way I know of doing this is to go in and block their user names. I open up my Origin client on my laptop, have my friend list open on the iPad and start typing them into the client. - the pending list will not open on my ipad i have 31 pending found where to block but the list won,t open so i can delete.
any help would be great. - I just went on that site for the 1st time ever and had nothing to delete :( had about 7 people waiting for me to delete others ;) but that was it lol

I have the same problem on my ipad, I can see that I have pending requests but can't open the list and I just noticed that I have 4 TSTO friends without TSTO, one of which hasn't played in 29 months (before there even was a TSTO!) - strange, all 4 of them have Squidport. :lol:dmac1955 wrote:

If you have friends on another platform, then they will show up as not having played in months and not having TSTO. I had that happen on my friend list when some of them switched to Android. I deleted them thinking they had abandoned the game only to find out what had happened when they PM'd me later..... :oops:

the origin on my mini ipad seems unstable has since whacking day. flickers alot i have no requests just 31 pending- I just deleted five whole requests! :lol: ( All though I see a difference :shock: )

I just tried this. There are quite a few pending that have no user names. How is this possible?
I had several that could not be found in origin. Disappointed. :(
I followed these instructions I found on a google search. I found out I was blocking them in the wrong place. It makes a difference. If you search for a friend then hit block it doesn't remove them from pending. If you type in the user name on the block user field and click block it does :)
This is how you delete pending friend requests:
1. Log on to your online Origin Account.
2. Go to My Account
3. Click Privacy
4. Type the name of the account you want to delete in the Block a User field and then click block.
Once you block them you can remove them from the block list and they won't reappear on your in game Pending Friend list.
