Or maybe they're talking about this one? The thread is called "Only getting 3 masks now from Bob clones instead of 5" so I don't know if that's what OP is talking about ... probably not. (Sounds like they're talking about craft supplies?)
http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/10330969.page- The DNA payout really sucks, I noticed that today. I'm currently earning 8 DNA for a 12-hour task. For the record though I am about to level up to 19 on my Monsarno building and I know that is supposed to increase DNA payout but doubtful that will be satisfactory.

There's been no changes apart from the "gas masks from clones 5 -> 3" reduction, and changing Cecil's spade/gas mask payout from 40/80/160/320 per level to an even 150 per task.
Crafting task payouts are different per type:
Fertiliser = 3 for 2hr task
Corn = 3 for 4hr task (double-time)
DNA = 3 for 6hr task (triple time)
Spoiler:
(Theatre Masks will apparently pay at the same rate as Fertiliser for tasks. Dunno about how common from tapping clones.)
