Don't get me wrong, I love having a choice of different roads. Having the ability to place cobblestone roads in my halloween area and dirt roads in my wild west area is fabulous.Not so fabulous is the fact that characters get stuck there. Stampy, the road sweeper, Nessy, the Wiccans and now all the event characters only ever stay on the dirt road. This is particularly annoying for the event characters as my dirt road is completely the opposite side of town to my halloween area.Does this bug anyone else? Do you have other characters that get stuck on certain road?

My Wiccans are stuck in one part of my town. Have been for months. I never knew why until you brought it up. Its definitely a glitch. Or else they would have moved over. I guess I could store them and then put them back out and see where they spawn to?

When I want dirt roads I use the dirt not the actual dirt road because I don't like the look of the sidewalks and I've never had a problem with characters getting stuck.

I have two dirt road sections, in the hopes they would cross town to go between them as you say, but it hasn't worked for me, they just stay on one side and then teleport to buildings they have jobs in and the NPCs just go around in a circuit of that area :(

I tried that, they spawned back to a patch of grass then walked over to the dirt road and never left again.

The only way to keep those characters way from dirt roads is using the only barrier characters don’t walk though: land not purchased

Put all your West Town below a barrier like that and this characters will try, but will not be smart enough to go around it. I will try to upload a picture.
