Dirt Roads
I've been playing this game WAY too long to be asking this, but it's the first time I've really needed dirt roads in a design. I obviously understand how you can place dirt and create a path of sorts...

From what I can tell, those were first available during the Wild West event (which I didn't play). Does this mean that anyone who started playing after that event lacks this ability? I don't even have the icon for them...
EDIT: Just to be clear, I know the difference between the dirt roads and the cobblestone roads (which I bought).
There are dirt roads which have brown sidewalks and are similar to the regular roads. There are also plain dirt paths. Hope this helps. :)
