Do the criminals expire?

After dropping criminals at neighbors is there a time limit for neighbors to find them before you receive that “nobody helped you” message?

I’m in Pacific daylight savings time so many of my neighbors in time zones ahead of me may well be asleep when I drop off criminals. If the criminals expire in, say, four hours then those neighbors will never see them

    Im guessing its the same dynamic as the Homerpalooza in which guess they would expire but we never actually confirmed what time that was between 4 and 12 hours.

    I have been checking to see if my neighbor is currently “playing” before dropping a criminal. They are in such limited supply right now that I don’t want to waste on either end. I too have my flag up MST.

    I have had notice of two different neighbors leaving me criminals and have never found them. I love neighbor interactions of this kind but I wish they would give us a little help with it when they do tjis. This has been the problem with these interactions for several events now.

    Pretty sure they expire after some time. I've placed the Norwegian flag in the landing zone to show my neighbours my time zone, if it matters.
    Myself I usually send to all active neighbours, one by one, regardless of time zone or if they have sent me any (that I know of). I think I've had 7 criminals to send so far, so it will take some time before everyone gets one, and even longer before people notice.
    The criminals are really hard to find, and the notice that says your town is cleared, is wrong, I've found criminals lurking around my town after I got that message.

    The Crooks part must be a mistake.

    The Crooks part must be a mistake.


    Definitely a mistake somewhere. I've also found a crook right after getting this message.
