Do you treat your characters as if they were "real"?

I like your way of setting people to tasks :) Not something i do or will do tbh, i normally set everyone to either 8hrs or 12hrs tasks depending on what i am doing during the day/night :) if we know an update is coming then no one gets set to tasks like now everyone is just wondering around unless on a task :)
  • I used to think it was funny to send everyone I could to the I could church on Sunday but these days I'm more about where everyone is doing their task. I Like the characters to interact with other or their environment. Patty and Selma pretty much just smoke all the time and the other day I put a toy solder on either side of one of them for some companionship. Smokers get tired of standing out side by themselves.
  • I kind of do what you are talking about sometimes.

USUALLY I task based on when I expect I'll log in again. If I expect to log in again in 5 hours I'll set them all on 4 hr tasks.

But during events, like right now with the snow, ill modify some choices for fun or for purpose. So right now a lot of my people are tasked indoors so they aren't on the streets while it's cold out, but also to stay out of my way so I can clear feds.

But then some I've left simply for fun, like all the police are walking their foot patrols since it's shopping season. And the smokers are on constant breaks because you always see crazy smokers willing to stand out in the snow for a nicotine fix!

I've had the plant workers alternating between 16 hour shifts and drinking at Moes, particularly because it's unsafe for Mindy to be riding a motorcycle in ice conditions! I do like sending a crowd to drink together too!!
  • I am their sky-finger God. Of course I treat them as though they are real. At least I don't treat them like crap like some other people's god...
  • Sometimes yes, and every time I put Bumblebee Man on a job, I say "Nada es Bueno!" in a really bad, really whiney Spanish accent...
