I does not matter, it's totally random, if I remember correctly you have a .002 chance of winning and you get the 5 donuts every 300 pops.

I got donuts last week after 6 months of none.
I have no idea if it is predetermined or not, I just tap randomly. I used to go for colour or patterns but now I just go completely random.
