I just did some remodeling to move the business club to bigger area with room for a couple more.

It's not an all or none thing. Given that they pulled the item. It is safe to assume they didn't intend for it to have the multiplier. They have logs that would show who bought it for donuts and how many. They then run a script to delete and replace X courts, where X is how many one has that weren't bought with donuts and replace them with a multiplier absent version. As far as I understand they have all the tools needed to do this as they are/have been used to fix other things. That is the only fair solution given that they will now have complaints from all directions on this now. The donut spenders complaint, the rest complaint of what about me I had a life outside of game and couldn't buy them yet, and the rest who just wanted the item for decoration and could care less about the multiplier. That pretty much covers everyone as ticked off.
