Made over 1,700 donuts off that one. 8) 8) 8)
Yes it was a wonderful event. :DRaven_Darkstorm wrote:
It's not an all or none thing. Given that they pulled the item. It is safe to assume they didn't intend for it to have the multiplier. They have logs that would show who bought it for donuts and how many. They then run a script to delete and replace X courts, where X is how many one has that weren't bought with donuts and replace them with a multiplier absent version.
LOL nope.Raven_Darkstorm wrote:
given they're the same item and they just changed the price i doubt it

As far as I understand they have all the tools needed to do this as they are/have been used to fix other things. That is the only fair solution given that they will now have complaints from all directions on this now. The donut spenders complaint, the rest complaint of what about me I had a life outside of game and couldn't buy them yet, and the rest who just wanted the item for decoration and could care less about the multiplier. That pretty much covers everyone as ticked off.- People bought so many of them because of the multiplier. They are not easy to grind out. EA is not so cruel to do something like that.

Is that all? I made like 10,000. Tap ball was the best event ever.Raven_Darkstorm wrote:

http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/2013/10/DF2DFhS.gif- EA cannot remove/replace the tennis courts not obtained from donuts because it actually said at one point in the game that the courts were now 20 statues and had a 2.25% bonus. People did the grind for those and would rightfully complain.
And after that text was removed? Well as I explained before, even if there is a time stamp on the instances of objects, when they are put in inventory that gets blown away with the instance. All that is then left is a number in the inventory saying how many you have ever had. And then when you take it out of inventory a new instance is created.
It would be a programming nightmare to deal with this, and a PR mess to do anything but leave it as it is. - jukan00New Spectator

Pics? :D - I've been off the boards for a bit and only got 1 tennis court. My multiplier is in the dumps but oh well. I'll just keep at it!
- The only logical conclusion as to why the item was removed is because they did not intend for it to have the multiplier. Otherwise why remove it. And if they intend to fix it, then it is better to have removed it to limit the work load that is needed to correct the existing tennis courts.

I know for a fact they have log files that tell them if we bought an item with donuts. I have contacted them in the past with donut issues and they have responded with we see in the logs you bought such and such. A 2nd tennis court object can be made by replicating the code of the first but changing the attributes for price and removing the multplier for the awards bought version. Then as I said run a script and remove and replace all amounts of tennis courts that are not bought with donuts with the new awards tennis court. All tools they already have and used in the past from info I have been given about other things. It is already a PR mess because they have ticked everyone off now. Removing it for sale and leaving the mess ticks of those who spent donuts, those who didn't but wanted courts for the multiplier (already got some or hardly got started ), and those who don't care about the multiplier and just wanted them for making something like a country club setup for example.
Oh and not to mention everyone who was grinding day and night to get as many as they can have already admitted that they figure EA messed up and forgot to remove the multiplier for the non-donut one and wanted to take advantage of the bonus while they could so said people shouldn't get mad if they no longer have the unintended gain forever. Since they were expecting to not have it through said admissions. So the best course of action for EA is to fix the non-donut version and then go from there. - I only knew about endless bobs. Was there also another endless something during tap ball? When was that? I never saw it mentioned in the forum during the event... Did I miss something badly? Or was it a very limited time?
