Double Haunting?

The what now? If you click on a neighbors house that is already haunted, it takes ghosts from them? I don't do that because it is fun for me to see everyone whom visits so I don't do it to others but occasionally I miss and click a haunted house.

Can someone clarify?

it doesn't "take" ghosts from them, it just unhaunts the house. so when they visit their town, they don't get the 2 goo they otherwise would have had the house been haunted.

  • This is incorrect. It only "Unhaunts" the house on the visitors side. On the owner's side, it will still be haunted, but when clicked, it will say "Haunted by ghosts" instead of the name of the person who would have haunted it if it was a single haunt.

This DOES NOT STEAL anything from the owner's town. It just does not allow the owner to collect goo from BOTH of the haunters. This results in 2 less goo for the owner than if the second haunter would have haunted a new building, and the visitor collects 2 goo on the haunt instead of one.

There are 5000 posts on here regarding this, the whole Tapped Out world is upside down over it, and I'm pretty sure no one has actually gotten it right yet.
  • It MAY differ between players, between platforms, between...well, it MAY vary. I don't know.

I have two towns, and I tried it. I tapped on a building that was already haunted, got the 2 GOO for my one town, and then went back to check in my first town, and it wasn't haunted.

There's obviously something to double haunting. Weather it "steals" or not depends solely on how you choose to handle it. I've posted my thoughts and feelings about it elsewhere.

Either way, at the end of the day, it's a game, have fun, and remember not to take it personal. :)
  • Totally agree. It would be nice if they were to explain, even if just on their own forum, how certain things in this game are intended to operate. We don't need a manual, but a clarification here and there would be VERY nice.
