Double haunting -- glitch or timing?

Wait a minute! Are you saying that when you tap someone's already haunted house, they don't get the goo?! I mean this with no irony, I didn't know this was true. A previous "tip" post told us to do this for double goo. If this is the case, then I'm not doing it anymore. I don't want to inhibit anybody getting goo. I don't even smash gremlins in my town. Please confirm that the double tap disadvantages our neighbors so I can stop doing this immediately.
  • Yes, if you haunt a previously haunted house, your friend gets no goo. Believe me, I just learned about it too. I also read a post talking about how to maximize goo (like waiting to tap that last ghost) so I didn't realize it was a bad thing.
  • I, like most, am not certain about this, but to me it seems like I do loose goo when people double-haunt.

It happens to me all the time that I log in to find 2 or 4 houses haunted, with each name credited once or twice.

On the other hand, every now and again alot of my houses gets haunted by "the ghosts", and I've been wondering if this is a compensation of sorts for goos lost to double-haunts.
I mean, the game warns us that Gremlins steals goo, which it really don't, so why wouldn't they warn us if double-haunting steals goo? I wish we could get a clear cut answer really...
  • That is confirmed. Double haunting means you get 2 GOO, but the person who you double haunted gets nothing.
