- This sounds like a good idea upfront, and I have a ton of items I would like to give to my feeder town, however, its actually quite problematic and one that I hope doesnt happen.
People would abuse it too much.
We used to have the lemon tree as an item that could go cross-account and it was meant to be taken just like in the episode and that had some rather unintended side effects as neighbors being really nasty to each other. Some people
would friend each other, steal the tree, and quickly unfriend each other before it can be taken back.
Imagine people hacking accounts to gift something to someone (or giving the item legitimately and then crying that someone else was playing their game such as a bro or a sis).
Another scenario is this...suppose someone has something you want and you set up a deal outside the game where you gave someone x dollars for that item and then after they got the money, they complained to ea that someone else did it.
Theres tooo many ways this could be abused and it could result in bad feelings going around the community. snowyriver32 wrote:

Concur. It's a nice idea, but proposes too many problems to it, and snowyriver32 outlined those pretty well.- No you set it up as a family linked account as minimalize the problems. If you are in the same house with said people on said router then share. But friends list still off list.

</issue>- maybe if they set it so you could only share non-premium items, since premium items (and the d'nuts that we spend to get them) are where EA makes money off the game, if they limited it to cash items only it might limit the abuse...
but still you'd get widespread cash movement in the forms of "sharing" items (then selling the item for the cash) so that accounts could further farm XP for more doughnuts...
and even if you "limited" it to accounts among friends/family, someone could just "join" the group, complete the transaction and then leave the group... - I see me gifting multiple lemon trees, all%, and lots of rails - to myself!!
- I would really like to see this. My stepdaughter has just started playing and I have a ton of excess properties (and plenty of cash) that I would be happy to gift to her. I'd be rather surprised if EA allowed this.

Not really as it is a family and friend based game.
