EA ... Family share, or gift option please!!

Yes a thousand times yes!!! I have excess loot my family doesn't have. I would love to share resources or items earned during events. Most of time they sit in my storage... I would love this feature

No you set it up as a family linked account as minimalize the problems. If you are in the same house with said people on said router then share. But friends list still off list.

Because if there is one thing EA does well, it's manage accounts.
  • What you are asking is that EA rewrite their whole account code that affects all their games to accommodate your desire to share items in one game. Your Simpsons account is the same one you use for all other EA transactions and I don't see them wanting to allow that kind of access across their whole line of games. (I might want to give my son some donuts - I don't want him guessing my password and gifting himself my Dragon Age Inquisition expansion.) Also, how are you going to limit it to just "family"? There isn't really a way to do that so it is definitely open to all of the abuses others have listed.

I have two accounts for ea. One for Simpson's and one for my Xbox live so it is differential.

  • I can see this being problematic as well. One option to avoid issues is to have a gift store as a building. The user who wants to send a gift, buys it from the store and enters the userid of who they want to send it to. Alternatively they could buy the gift from the store and visit the neighbour to send the gift (similar function to how we send currency to neighbours during events - but please don't use the same code as we all know that has bugs).

ETA: Think the list of items you are able to send would have to be short. I wouldn't want to be spammed by a neighbour sending me all their unwanted brown fences or event prizes :)
  • Thanks for the support from some as for the rest you have your opinions and I respect that. But don't come off all snide about it. We are all adults here and should be treated as such.
  • We can disagree and be sarcastic about it. That's what forums are for! 8)

I don't see anyone being disrespectful.

The "snide" posts should be taken as humour or sarcasm. Believe that's how they're intended by the poster. Personally I take them as funny but see how they could be seen otherwise.
