i completely and whole-heartedly agree. I understand the need for warnings on decorations as it could cause lag or rendering issues (especially for older devices), but with all the new land given (thank you) and new items, it is time to at least raise the cap to at least 10,000-15,000 rather than the current 7500.

You're at the limit? Which is what, 7500 now? Because I've been playing for years and my town is well decorated, and I'm still below 6500. But i also don't have surplus redundant items laying around, like many people do. I don't buy 30 of something new and just line them all up in a block. I also don't over garden. Some people shove massive amounts of flowers everywhere. It's just not realistic. I'd like to see your town. If they had more than the limit, i suspect the game would become unplayable and you'd have to force quit out of their town, then decide if you should drop them as a neighbor, which would be much more annoying.So I'd like to see who really needs their limit raised, vs who is just all anxious over irrelevant warning messages. If you're above 7k, i bet your town is sluggish too. Don't shoot yourself in the foot, putting in so many decorations that no one wants to be your neighbor.

I do not have any items stacked in a corner just to raise my multiplier or for any other reason. I have hit the limit, removed about 100 or so items, continued playing and hit the limit again. I then removed 100 or so items again, trees, shrubs, little items I would not notice. Unfortunately I will have to do this again sometime soon as I build the monorail track.It would be nice if it was increased.By the way, great town Brett.

I'm lucky my friends list is full of people with awesome towns. Most of whom if they haven't already, will soon feel the pain of the deco limit . . . unless EA helps them out!

I saw after the deco limit was raised you finished your Heights area. I've been waiting for neighbors to make use of that area since I was thinking maybe I'd host another design contest--maybe a Springfield High Life contest--but I don't get the sense many people have finished the Heights.

However, the forum could use a diversion, and Moxxee can't be expected to have all the fun! More to the point, with the new land and deco limit, I figure there should be an emphasis on design and more discussions of it.

Another idea I've been kicking around is a variation on something JimJ suggested a little while back. Maybe we can have an ongoing thread here in GD where people post pics of their favorite designs done by other players.

Need the deco limit raised mainly for that reason.

I considered dismantling my whole squidport if they didn't raise the limit, its the one area of town I'm not as attached to :mrgreen: I'm attempting to friend request you but it keeps tellin me to retry, so if you get a chance see if you can send me one too, otherwise I'll keep tryin. I'd love to see yours too, I've seen you active on Springfield Showcase section, great place to get inspiration and share ideas. Like you said, some may consider my town crowded also haha, but I like it with a lot of green and less boxy streets, the more irregular the better

As I'm sure everyone will agree, I've a simple town - modestly decorated, yet somehow it's reached the current deco limit. I'd sure love to expand my designs, but y'all gotta take these handcuffs off.

Raise the damn limit already!

I just played for an hour on my old iPhone 4s. It's completely manageable (with some patience), so don't give me the excuse "old" devices can't handle it. Servers can't handle it. "They" said the exact same thing about land expansions. The 4s (and crappy EA servers) say otherwise.

Sorry to my neighbors, done in my main town until further notice. Side towns calling. SF golf course top priority! :P

I used to buy all new premium content until my town ran into frequent pixelation and other assorted glitches. The answer for me is simple. Until EA can improve the game's functionality, I've stopped buying new premium content. What's the sense in buying new content if the game's infrastructure can't support it? When EA stops making their doughnut quota, I'm sure they will invest in performance upgrades to keep their customers happy.

This thread makes me laugh, please excuse my frustration and negativity but after quite a few rectal reamings I have recently got from ea, what makes you think a petition will work? There is a petition to remove the always online requirement to play the new need for speed which has over hundreds of thousands of signatures. Did they change it? NOPE, people have to realise ea simply doesn't care and does what they want to do. Approaching the public with the sense that you have to be worthy to play there products as its there way or no way. Attitude stinks IMO. They used to be the benchmark when it came to NBA games and were for years but when the attitude of "doing what we want" crept in instead of what the customer wants, they lost the antler to 2k. 2k gave the true fans what they wanted and that was years ago, yet ea are still trying to figure this one out, or there possible in denial lol.

How do you know how many decorations you have? Is there a way to see how close you are to the limit? I didn't even know there was a limit.
