Can I ask, imagining an über perfect world where you are in charge of the whole KL development, what would change your mind in this respect?

I think KL is a huge wasted opportunity, just with the one episode alone people keep mentioning-where the Simpsons actually go to I & S Land and fight the malfunctioning robots-there is enough content to make a spectacular feature. And that's not the only episode they can take from, although I've not seen these episodes myself-curse the UK Simpsons new episode schedule!
I'd also like to ask how many people are desperately clamouring for the Monorail, or Springfield Badlands, or anything of the sort? I know I'm one of many people who do so, and have taken part in a number of threads on the subject, but my worry is that if the KL lack-of-use issue is never sorted, we have no guarantee the Monorail and Badlands won't end up like KL? For the sake of those features, the developers need to find a way of making KL return, even if it means consecutive level updates are dedicated to KL instead of the main part of Springfield, where in some respect we could do without those level updates because we haven't got the land to accommodate them!!
