Early thoughts on the event?

I'm 100% with you on this!

Add in the painfully slow crafting (whether intentional or a miscalculation by EA) and I'm quickly losing interest.

Same here. Spys/superheros, etc. have never been my cup of tea. Can take it or leave it. Im not sitting out or anything drastic like that but Im also not going crazy or even as hard as I do for other events. Not crazy about the prizes/craftables most will end up in storage and Ibe @already got enough clutter in there.

But to each his own, the majority seem to be enjoying it thoroughly so I hope everyone has fun. After all, isnt that why we're here in the first place?

The content is good and items are nice, but the actual mechanics of the event are getting very tired. Each event has become a formula.

I would like to have a MiT for my town after the event.

I think everyone should enjoy whatever aspects of the event they like, no problem there at all. It's just not *my* particular favorite, that's all :)

While I'm super happy that I finally got Hank Scorpio and the Volcanic lair at a great discount, I feel indifferent to the event and I'm not sure why.

Boring.

The good: I like the theme, the music, and the craftables we’ve seen to this point in the event. The bad: The schematics issue (mentioned about a zillion times already) and the mini-game.

Overall I'm enjoying the event and looking forward to getting some of the crafting prizes as they look great and the animation on the ones I've got are great, the only bad part I'll not go into as there is already enough threads on the subject already.
