Little over 10,000 right now and not slowing down. With my work schedule, I'm getting all 4 of #1's tasks about half the time so I want all the cushion I can get. Maybe when I have all the prizes and just playing for bonuses, I'll think about slowing down. :D

Yes, you are.

There are also the quests.
There are also the generators.
You can get up to 300 visiting your friends if you tap the stonecutter lodge for your first sixty friend actions.
There are also people who sped up building the lodge. (Like me.)

I have 15000 emblems, without spending donuts on the prizes, which incidentally is how some players have 34000 or more.

I'm ahead a little at ~12,000, but I'm sure I'll miss a couple days in there somewhere, so might as well get as much of a buffer as possible. Worst case scenario is I get too many and have to trade in for donuts - d'Oh!

Am I wrong?

I have seen other players with up to 35,000 emblems. Plus several that had over 7500 since the second day of the event.

I bought a temple and Number 51, completed every task so far except the 4th Number 1 task on the first day, and the last two days I have maxed out at 300 emblems from visiting neighbors. I have decent neighbors who visit me often and I have been tapping every member of the order I see. I sent the newly unlocked Stonecutter skins on their assigned tasks, and am almost done with the main quest involving Bart/Lisa. All that has added up to over 15,400 emblems.

This isn't rocket science, it's working hard to get as much out of the legitimately available emblems as you can get. There are also legitimate players who bought boatloads and truckloads of donuts to speed up the prizes to obtain the needed 34,000 emblems to get the final prize. They chose to pay the steep price to speed things up.

There are hackers who spent ill gotten donuts on the event but the vast majority who have made it as far as many of us here have have done so legitimately, diligently, and with a lot of lost sleep.

I'll be moving soon, within a few weeks... So I want to be as far ahead as I can so that the main day of moving, and the loss of doing most or all of the day's tasks, won't stop me from reaching the end.
