While I agree that the buildings are (mostly) eyesores and I'm not a big fan of Springfield heights, I still think it was a good idea that just kind of missed the mark.
Right now my SH is still kind of a garbage dump where I've been stashing unwanted things, but I actually am looking forward to cleaning it up and making a kind of fancy area of town.
Yeah, it's a chore and a grind to crank out so many ugly buildings, but on the other hand, the shops are really well designed and you don't have to keep the eyesores out once you max them out. You can stash them out of the way.
They're trying something new and, I think, for the most part, it's a good idea. It's going to be more worth my time than 'finish it and forget about it' krustyland was.
I just hope they continue to tweak it more like they did with finally giving us the option to pick which level we want the upgraded buildings at.
Again, they missed the mark, but they're trying to give us something different. Let's just hope they make a few more throws to hit closer to what we want and they don't just abandon it like they did krustyland.
