Foregiveness? Reality of Tapping Towns During Holiday Event

It was interesting to read the comments from this thread.......but there was a reason behind me posting it and running the Poll.
This is a game and as such most players understandably....and should....play for their own advancement and after that help others when they can.
I do try to help others within reason, but as most agree...during an event...it is about collecting the event currency (i.e. Goo, Gift Cards, etc...) and dropping items in your neighbor's towns (i.e. gremlins, gift bags, Easter Eggs, etc...
But as I said there was reason for this whole discussion....I actually got a message via the forums saying that I tapped on their least profitable houses in their town and cost them Thousands of $$ and to please tap on the items they wanted me to tap on.
