I don’t have her stored, and it’s showing me both her and the house in the shop to buy. What happens if you purchase this bundle when you already have both the character and house?
It won't allow you to buy it when both are out in your town it tells you can only have one unique item when you click on the offer. - If you place multiples of unique buildings or decorations you run the risk of breaking your game. It's not great advice.
- True that, @1MikeyM - and as much as I'm used to trying to figure how to deal with broken bits it is not my favourite part of the game.

Nope, that's completely false."sideshowdan9;c-2191247" wrote:
Great. I wanted one for my airport.
Now there's an idea I might just pinch. Thanks :)
Might even have a play at 3D to make it look taller too :)- I wasn't saying don't do it. I'm just saying it could do with a caveat emptor.

I already had a "Future-proof home" from the original event, but didn't get Lady-bot at the time, she was re-released once since then but as a bundle (I think with Prof Frink) which it wouldn't let me buy.
The point being that this time round it let me buy her even though I had the building already, so the "unique item" it refers to must be the character, not the building. This is supported by what @Castiel19x has found out about storing the character to exploit the loophole.
Either way, thanks to those brave souls who tried to get a 2nd Lady-bot & just got the home, you saved me wasting 100 donuts as I was planning on risking it after I'd finished the story missions of my 1st one.
I wonder if this method works with other bundles that have been offered or more in the future. - So many people miss out because items are bundled and they'd managed to get at least one item.
Perhaps offer bundles to all and add a pop-up like the confirm donut spend that warns you won't get multiples of the item(s) you already have, just the item(s) you're missing for the price of the bundle and if players want to pay the whole cost for the thing they need then they can, or they can cancel if they thought they could have extra of whatever they'd previously got and don't want to pay full whack for less.
. . . and breathe !! Hope that makes sense, I know what I mean but not how to write it, sorry.
Simpler, better idea. If it's not simply a decoration bundle offer everything as individual items and then make up bundles with a bit of a discount on buying separately.

Thanks @Castiel19x. I was wondering if I could buy 2!
You can buy another building but not another ladybot. But the building if you still want it will cost 100ds
Thanks @NicholasD1984. The thing that amazes me about all this is, that in my almost 8 years of playing TSTO, I have NEVER before been offered a character that I already have in my Store! And, with this event, there’s not only 1 (Ladybot), there’s 2 - Hans Mechman shows up as a free bonus character for me if I buy 132 donuts! I’ve already got him, so I know that I wouldn’t get him again, I just think the game mechanics/coding have maybe been changed before this update?- They've patched this and Hans Mechman showing for everyone.
You didn't need to store LadyBot and overpay, it's now in store for the usual price of 45 Ds !!
