I've tried forum PMs with mixed results to let neighbours know.
Some you can't send messages to though, and others either don't read, don't understand or ignore it :(
When I'd sussed this and bothered adding neighbours to my B town ( started just in time for the event that brought us the couch !! ) I had little patience and would instantly unfriend any that I couldn't tap.
My little town is a year and a half old, almost exactly, and today I finally got the Marge Tetherball !!
43 of 50 neighbours work, 3 have the couch filled and 4 of the noobs look to have quit !! Happy to hit 40 a day, not so fussed after that when it's only a single FP per tap.
