Getting the Redwood to work

Yeah I upgraded yesterday. Sent my two characters on their task for fertilizer and collected this morning. I sent them on a second round of fertilizer. The next time I logged in I saw there was an in game update and since then I can't send characters on tasks there. I have 20/40 fertilizer for level 2. That's it. Lol. Same here. Sent Homer and Blue Haired Lawyer twice to get 40 fertilizers (don't have Jesse). Opened the game to complete part 2, my fertilizers disappeared. Now redwood menu is blank, says 0/40 fertilizers and no more tasks. No upgrade hammer. Going to KL or friends menu didn't help.
I've contacted EA, they've said the tree was limited time iten (???) and will not upgrade anymore. :roll:
My only option for now is spend 60 donuts to skip part 2. Poor redwood, will never grow up. :lol:
