I have God in my town now. I must have paid the original price.
Could someone please remind me why did i buy this? I don't use Him at all now, and can't remember what He does (or did) for us
Every 24 hour task of his gives $777,777 and depends on the multipler the more you get. So a lot better for new comers or for those who have more than one town. - Castiel_ToukSeasoned Newcomer

Curse EA's greedy and wretched hides. Why the hell couldn't they have rereleased God as yet another recurring limited premium time character?
Which I would have happily spent donuts on rather than locking God behind a lameass paywall.
God may not be back for a while just do it. "Castiel_Touk;c-2216439" wrote:

Er no, I just don't want to spend any real life money on this game.
You don't get it do you, its the principal of the damned thing.
I can wait until EA rerelease God yet again even if that process takes months or years - so be it. Hopefully next time God won't be released behind a stupid paywall.- Castiel_ToukSeasoned Newcomer

As the EA store would say Purchase cancelled. We are all heartbroken. Maggie is crying. so hey-- congratulations! YOU MADE A BABY CRY. - 11EEveyHero+There is nothing wrong with spending money on a hobby you enjoy in general, but unless you really want the imaginary hot dog, I say wait. This is lame.
- 4junk3000New SpectatorOh we "get it". You don't want to spend money. You want others to fund this game's future, so you can continue to play for free.
Same here but I'm not so arrogant about it. Let it go; it's just pixels, not principles, bruh."Castiel_Touk;c-2216428" wrote:

Thanks for clarifying this. So basically all but worthless to max level players. No reason to get bent over not obtaining Him. - 4junk3000New SpectatorExpecting to be paid for a product they build and distribute, is "wanton greed"?
What other fee has EA charged you for playing this game? Get over yourself. You speak like they have an obligation to entertain you for free.
I don't spend money on this game, but I feel much gratitude to EA that ive been able to play as long as I have for so many years. You got a sick sense of entitlement, sir. - 11EEveyHero+Again there is nothing wrong with spending money on a hobby.
The same person that refuses to buy stuff in a video game probably buy Starbucks every day, goes to the movies every week, and out to eat all the time and has every streaming service.
but it's "wrong" to encourage game companies to make money
You don't have to have God to finish this event. You don't have to have God to reach max level (it just makes it easier).
He will come back another day. Get him then and stop whining. "4junk3000;c-2216427" wrote:

? I love how much is in that sentence-I know it’s a missed opportunity for some great smartassery so I’ll just quote it and ……
As for god, I bought him and justify it with- “worth it for the shear joy and silliness.” And I didn’t have to deal with possibly disease ridden, thoughtless and (for me) dangerous humans to have some damn fun! And the only “guilt” I have is I’m a pagan with their god roaming around my town!
(Oh and for the 7% bump ? there’s the Greed ?)- Willy9292Seasoned Vanguard

Nice deflection.
It just seems to me that you are making excuses for EA's wanton greed of locking God behind a paywall.
I personally never pay for any microstransactions, loot boxes, season passes, dlc for any of the videogames that I play on modern consoles or devices whatsoever.
Since I recognize what it is, game companies blatant attempts to try to nickel and dime their customers. Btw this includes both this game and EA.
I don't get how you think they are Nickle and Dimeing you. You play the game for free. They can choose to charge for any item they want to. As you have not paid a cent into the game, how are you a customer? You are a person who gladly takes the free offerings, and there is nothing wrong with that. But EA does not owe you anything. I believe many stores operate this way. They give free samples hoping that you will buy their products. Do you expect them to offer everything free also?
Personally I see nothing wrong with the current God offering. It was obvious on its first offering at 777 donuts that it wasn't coming back in a 30 donut mystery box.
