Hats, hats and more Hats

I've only made hats during one cycle in Act 2. Currently I'm at about 1000 hats less than I had at the end of Act 1.

    That's what I'm doing too, but I have 10k+ guns. About the same number of the other two though.

    How much evidence do you have for this? Can you list the data here?

    I don't use that "cheat" system for the monorail and I usually finish it pretty quickly. Some weeks it takes longer, some weeks it takes less.

    Well I haven't filled out a spreadsheet but I can tell you that it is an obvious observable effect that it is not a 1-in-3 chance that you will get a task that requires a scare resource. Anyone who has used any of the crafting systems in the game should be able to corroborate this.

    An example from this morning is that I had fewer pickaxes than other resources and I got 9 tasks in a row that included pickaxes until I had 0 left. So in a random trial I should on average have 3 tasks without pickaxes. Small sample size, but it only confirmed what I have seen for a long time with this game.
  • I'm almost done with act 2. I need 1000 more badges, but keep running out of hats. LOL. I will admit I never used any prospecters this act or visited friends town. I'm just not into this event I guess.

    Same here. I currently have about 2500 guns, 5600 pickaxes and a little over 5k hats. It seems almost all trades I've gotten so far involve guns in some way, but I'm keeping up.
