If you're able to start the game over but haven't the ability to log in using your origin account, run through the beginning tutorial part of the game until Frink prompts you to visit the "Other Springfield." After you return, you should be tasked to add friends or something along those lines. At that point you will be able to enter your account info and return to your saved game.

This has happened to me before; not being able to sign in. I had to play the new anonymous game until it got to the part where I could add or visit other springfield. Click on the icon with bart and Millhouse. And go to the menu you would use to add friends and you will be able to sign in from there. another option would be to turn your phone off and on again. If that still doesn't work you may need to contact ea directly.

Thank you. I reinstalled again. I can sign in, but it keeps going back and asking again. It's on my iPad. I'm still on my phone.

What do you mean with "the blank screen" and what does it ask? Are you able to log in, then when you get the spinning donut, it loggs you out again and you are back to the very beginning of the game?

Whenever I have a problem connecting to the server - which is at least once a day - here's what usually works for me:

Exit the game.

Close the game completely:
For iOS: double tap the home button and swipe the app up off screen (older iOS tap and hold app icon, tap red dash)
For Android: Tap Background Apps button (the square to the right of the Home button) then swipe app off screen.

Do the same for all other apps as well.

Update any apps that need updating. I know this sounds odd, but it seems to help.

Turn off device.

Turn off your wireless router (assuming you have a router)

Turn off your Internet Access Device (Modem). For me that's a satellite modem. Could be a Cable modem, whatever...

Wait 15 to 30 seconds.

Turn on Internet Access Device and let it boot completely.

Turn on router.

Turn on device (I'm using both an iPad 2 and a Nexus 7 to play).

Start game.

If that doesn't work... Try going somewhere with free wifi (library, restaurant, etc) and see if you can play there. We once went a couple of weeks unable to download our email at home before our service provider would believe it wasn't our (10 different) computers.

What I don't understan is if OP cannot load his/her town (getting logged out and entering the empty SF) OR he/she is getting the Bart screen?

If OP is getting Barted out, well, join the club, there is really nothing to do but wait and try again. If the login doesn't work, there is a problem somewhere else.

So what is "the blank screen"????
