Hey EA---your timing is impeccable

I can't even count the number of times I have played the game in the morning at my apartment (wifi) to the later that morning or afternoon get a message that I must update to play. This is frustrating during events.

Played on the way to work and when I attempted to play at my break this afternoon and I had to update in order to play. Since no wifi at work and travel time back home means 4 hours at least before I can download the update, loosing out on event stuff.

EA PLEASE notify players that an update is available, and allow us to play until we are able to download it on wifi. Thanx very much.

How can one not know when the THOH event is going to drop?! Clearly you aren't obsessed like us! :D

    Here's some tips:

    • Events are non-stop. Once one ends, the next one starts so make sure to be on the lookout after each event ends.
    • Events usually run like this: Major event, mini event, major event, mini event. The next mini-event will be the Thanksgiving and Black Friday update, followed immediately by the Chrustmas update
    • Major updates always start on a Tuesday, so check your App Store then!

Must be a new holiday Chrustmas...;)

Haha, I'm definitely not used to typing on my iPad Air 2!

Still saying that the option to update later needs to be added. Not the "update to play" we have now. It is nothing that can't wait for those in the middle of playing the event.

I doubht EA would ever implement an update later option because it would mean that if there's ever a glitch that we could benefit from (unlimited donuts, event currency, items for free are all past examples) they wouldn't be able to prevent us from continuing on with the glitches because we could just ignore updates for a few days.
    This is the correct answer.

Though, even considering that they might allow us to continue earning free donuts for 4 more hours, is that really any different than not being able to release a patch for 4 or 8 hours or many days? So, they could give us a 4 hour delay (from the patch release, not from when we log in) for our convenience. 4 hours to do with how events are structured, otherwise, at least 2 hours might be nice.

Oh no? 4 hours? You might as well not even try the event now that you're so far behind.

Hope being sarcastic, it has happened numerous time during all previous events over the last 3 years.

    I think Jay is

    I think that's a troll. Don't feed it.
  • If 4 hours would make that much of a difference why didn't you check if there was an update yourself instead of waiting for the game to force you to update? The updates are almost always available for as much as a day before the game forces you to get it to start an event. I'm always impatient to get stated on new events so once one ends I start checking if an update is available before I start the game every time I play.
  • it was about 6 hours later that it showed up in the android store for me, so don't feel bad about missing 4 hours....
