- These new features are amazing, and exactly what people on this forum have been asking for, so you can tell they care what we think. I don't think I can afford a boat land but I will buy a few golden scratch-r's.
Good idea suggestions as well! - I like your selectable landing zone idea! I'd pay donuts for it.
- I love the idea of setting our own landing zone. One benefit is that, when I've added a section or feature to my town that I'd like to show all my friends, I can just make that the landing zone.
My thought for the future method would be for EA to add four more items to the "decorations" list ... "Pinpoint" versions of a road tile, a concrete tile, a water tile, and a grass tile. Oh, and a Squidport tile. Obviously, we could only use one at any given moment. But we could treat them as we do the standard versions (be able to put objects on a concrete one, for instance.)
The tree right now does the job, and is perfect for this event, but in the long term, an "object" would need to be worked around. If I want to change my landing zone for a day, with a tile, it's a ten-second switch.
The pinpoint version would have all the same properties with one additional "super power" ... To move the screen to where i want it. - I'm loving the new features as well. Especially the character locator & the fact that if you choose 8hrs for one character, the rest will be selected for 8 as well. Putting everyone on tasks now is a breeze. I too plan on buying a boatload. I do need to stock up for all of next years content.

Great idea to use a tile (land, water, etc.)! I was thinking a tree or a rock, but you're right we would need to work around that object.
Another idea would be to add a new "Pin" action for every object (decoration, tile, etc) in Move mode. Select a tree, bench, tile, whatever, and tap the Pin action to make that object the center of the landing zone. Maybe charge donuts or in-game cash to purchase or enable the feature. Pretty please, EA?- Awesome ideas!!!
:thumbup: :thumbup: - Er... you guys do realise that the tree is what you're asking for, right? It's doing exactly what you want - specifying where your LZ is. It might not look the way you want it to, but functionality-wise, you've already got it.

I think people are afraid after the event the tree will stop being the atuo lz.
I could live with the xmas tree being the lz.
