I agree with you. I am just impatient. When the first post about the challenge started, I was making dinner and knew I had a long time to wait. :)

Did you open the 'Shopkeeper's Challenges' menu and tap the 'Do It' button?

My understanding of this part of the event was that each challenge didn't start until you manually started it, so you could put stuff off until you had time to do it...

Of course I could be wrong...

I actually did not start my first storytelling task from the shop and it counted anyway. Sounds like a glitch.
