How are friends towns arranged?

It needs to go back to alphabetical or so

It's very annoying, and I fail to see how it isn't an easy fix for EA. Granted, the same could be said for the decorations menu. One of the main reasons I put off decorating my town is because the decorations menu is so cumbersome. It seems like all alike items are placed 99 swipes away. :(

I used the Origin application on my laptop today in tandem with my iPad to gather information and then delete friends in an organized way. It was quite the production. It would be awesome to be able to sort by alphabetical and last login! I was thinking maybe they could currently by arranged by the date their Origin account was created... Perhaps the switch from alphabetical to random happened when the accounts all merged with Origin (last winter-ish)?

it makes sense, if the list changes randomly from time to time people who are at the bottom will actually get visits, during an event like the current one, we visit all our friends but when there is no events, many people just get tired of it ._. i know i do, so it's actually good, they should arrange our friend list by how active the players are, leaving those who hardly play at the end :3

Keep it alphabetical. Each day, shift the list up by one letter. On the 2nd day this means "A" moves to the end of the line, etc. Continue cycling through this way. Every 26 days, your letter comes first. Meanwhile, finding a specific friend is simple.

EDIT TO ADD: most active is ideal, but origin doesn't track android visits.

It would be nice if they let us organize our friends list in the order that we prefer it to be.

My friends still seem to shift around periodically. Maybe I'm hallucinating, but I can never quite find who I am looking for. Also, when I use the town to town navigation arrows, sometimes I skip towns, or when I exit one town, I end up on a screen that doesn't even have the last town I visited on it.
