You can't just manipulate data however you like. This is how empires collapse, nations fall, researchers get published, and people get audited.- 2,000,001 sound better? but it hurts to type that out very much!!!
- Thanks for the reply :) really thought it was way more than that. I thought it was one of the biggest games out, for an app. When updates are coming its like the whole world is on edge. . :)
Is this enough players to keep the game going into the future? (To keep EA happy anyway) - once more word is spread about the game it will increase and then everyone will be playing!!!! And EA will be very satisfied!!!
- 3 people
- In the Google Apps Play Store, in the spot where it usually shows number of times an app has been downloaded, when I select TSTO, that spot says "5,000,000+"
As to whether all the people who have downloaded it actually play it, I have no clue.
Oh. And also you need to keep in mind that it is misleading. I play on an iPad, on a Nexus, and on my Samsung Galaxy, and downloaded/installed it to each one. One person. Three downloads. Hmmm. AlanSherer wrote:
Do you count all of Josh's 75 accounts or just his main?
LOL. This reminds me of the lyrics of Gnarls Barkley's "Who Cares"
Basically I'm complicated
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But I'll be at least two people today
If that's ok- I have no idea what the total number people are that play. But I do know, like most other's, that TSTO is by far the most popular "freemium grinder" game ever. And I believe that in 2013 EA made over $130 million in digital net revenue through the third quarter from TSTO alone. So yeah, I think that is a pretty nice profit to keep this game going. It's insane really, that you can profit that much from what could be a completely free game.
I will also say that EA's other games, Battlefield 4, FIFA 14 (Especially in Europe), Madden NFL 25 (US mainly), and Need for Speed Rivals are all very popular and well selling games. If you read a gaming industry financial report, you will see they mostly hit their profit goals or exceeded them in 2013.
