Enough to cover a bunch of bonut boxes. Nothing more. Money generates fast enough, there's no point to hoarding cash when it can go to KEMs - I turn money into donuts as fast as I can, so I keep no cash in reserve.
I do need money to send people on tasks via the unemployment office, so I guess that I should keep 5k around, but I can do that without even trying.
I don't keep any money around to buy extra chances during the bonut game since it is cheaper for me(high multiplier) to just buy more rat trap trucks.
I don't keep any money around to buy land, cause I have lots of empty land.
I honestly can't think of any reason for me to keep a reserve. - I'm at 20 mil, just so I can buy into new land and/or the next money pit right away. This really came in handy when the $220 KEM glitch happened to come with the same update as the last land expansion.
- I used to keep around 50 mil in reserve prior to level 60. Now I tend to make it up to 20 mil or so and donut farm back down to about 4-5 mil.
My reserve has essentially changed to maintaining a donut reserve instead of cash. - bluntcardNew Traveler
$100 Million. - I've been farming, so it creeps up very slowly. I'm at $41 million right now.
- anaquarindNew SpectatorMy comfort level is 10M. The rest gets burned into donuts.
- I can't seem to build cash while farming KEMs. The chrono bonut retries at $150k each are killing my wallet. However with this event alone I've managed to get all the premium items I've wanted and add 50% to my conformity bonus so I'll trade the cash for donuts any day.
- I've been keeping at $15 million, which is usually enough to comfortably buy the next strip of land. The rest gets converted into donuts.
It's a fun cycle where my ability to generate donuts is feeding into my ability to generate cash and multiplier, which then increases my ability to generate more donuts, and so on. I've definitely noticed an accelerating pace of accumulation in the last 2 months or so. So much so that I'm starting to focus a lot more on space.
For example, crafting this time...there are two structures that generate $200 and 20 XP in 12 hours. One costs 400 future bucks and one costs 560 future bucks. So I was generating the one that only costs 400 bucks. But there was a moment during this event where I realized that space was quickly becoming a limited resource. The 400 buck item is 6x6 I believe, whereas the 560 buck item is 5x5. I'm now buying the 560 buck item because I can put more of them in the same amount of space.
I suppose at some point I'll get a message about item limits, and then my thinking will change yet again. mrmojorisin147 wrote:

It depends on your multiplier probably, but for me it's DEFINITELY not worth it to pay those $150K bonuses. That's probably around 15 full-priced KEMs (when you account for the sell back price), which is about 2 short of what I need for another box of KEM bonuts. And you could end up spending $300K.
I'm still paying for 3 donuts with the KEM bonuts, but I think I'm getting near a point where it won't make sense to do that when I hit 2 donuts on my first tap. If you hit 2 donuts on first tap, you're basically paying $75,000 for each additional donut, whereas if you hit 1 donut on first tap, I think you're paying $37,500 for each additional donut. On average.
