I cant believe i did this...my poor town ;-)
The tile/channel 6/stage/crop glitch is gone with the update. As well the recurring garbage is gone too.

I know you and Snowy are one my friends list so I want to let you know that I, too, add some brown houses back (12). They are located just below my blue house farm. There is also 10 - 23 KEMs over there too.
Hopefully by the end of the week, I'll hit my money goal and be tearing down my blue house farm but will leave up the brown houses and KEMs until the end of the event.
