It's only taken me since September haha!
Congrats! Save it for Squidport update to buy some land, since it cost over 2 million to buy all land.
  • Congrats. After a while your town will start makin alot of money really quick. The first million is always the hardest
  • Thanks yeah it seems I make money faster when I'm over the 500,000 mark. Looking forward to squid port, do you mean all town land is 2K or just squid port land? I still have a lot of land to buy.
  • If it were me, I wouldn't buy anything right now. I would save everything for Squidport and once that has been released, make decisions on what to buy. The available land isn't going anywhere, so unless you have buildings to purchase and absolutely nowhere to put them, I'd hold off.

($2.8 and climbing...$3 should be enough to make a big dent in Squidport..)
  • Congratulations!!!
It took me for ever took get descent money lol and that's with a farm. But now I can't get rid. I bought the giant items they just sit in storage tho  lol what you gona do with you million bucks?
  • I wouldn't bother with those Expensive items. They don't have payouts, bonuses, or tasks, they are just there to look cool, and IMO they don't really even look that good. They look out of place in Springfield. I would either save all the money for Squidport or buy the remaining land, if you don't have it all yet.
  • Congrats! The first is always the hardest to get and the hardest to hold on to.
Got mine to 1M when Fat Tony came out with the BSC... said good-bye to that million pretty quick too. Now I'm back up though and almost at 5M. 4.9 and counting...
Don't bother with the expensive premiums unless you really want them. They take 3 days each to build, have no pay outs or additional experience, and are nothing but a status symbol, unless that's something you want.
Save your money for Squidport. For all the land alone it's about 2M, plus another few hundred thousand for the buildings and non-premiums.
  • I don't even remember how much I have saved up but I am saving as much as I can no more buying anything.
Is Squidport going to be be an event where you can only get it for a limited time or will it be there forever?

  • Use it to make your second million. Like a snowball the more income you have coming in being used to generate addition income...

And I like my escalator to nowhere.

Basic synapse from my slumlord post might help. You can go further and make more so feel free to track down my old post and see all the math.

Springfield is a grid 13x13 squares. Because even slum lords have standards I limited my slums to a horizontal 3x13 row, which incidentally is the max size to tap all houses on a zoomed out ipad while only scrolling horizontally.

I started out with purple houses as I had the time to check often. At 1100 to build and earning 600 per day, they pay for themselves in just under 2 days. In the 13x3 grid you can fit 236 purple houses with a small plot left over for a heart pond and tree or two, which gets you 17700 per visit with 1652 Xp. A daily total of 141600 cash and 13216 Xp, if you visit every three hours like clock work. The initial cash outlay to build them was 259600 not counting land cost.

So buy some land, build some houses, and be back at a million in less than a week with an extra million each additional week.
