- I have a theory. Not sure how true it is, but i have noticed my lower level neighbors with a ton of baskets.
I have a 2nd account for my son, and it's a level 12 right now. I created the account so he'd stop spending my donuts, he's only 4 and only cares about moving things around and creating streets. So what I was going to do, was generate eggs in between the accounts. I'd just trade 400 eggs, get 200 back, then swap back the 400 back to my account. Well, my plan has not worked well at all, because only the low level account has been getting baskets. Right now It has 5, and I've filled up another 5 to generate some eggs to trade back to my account.
So with me not getting baskets, the eggs are just piling up on the account. It has 3500 blue eggs, which is my uncommon. I'm just waiting on baskets while resisting the urge to not open a bunch of boxes. lol - Baskets are getting pretty sparse. I have a few neighbors with baskets sitting in their towns that you can't swap eggs with. What's up with that?
- Buy the Fab Egg for a 100 donuts and you'll get more baskets.
- Hmm I have a theory...
Maybe because people are spending less money on this event (I've gathered from various threads) EA thought "huh, why aren't people spending donuts?" then someone went "Duh, cos we're giving them free baskets so no ones buying them" so they've slowed them down / taken them away thinking that was the problem.
Whereas the real reason less people are spending donuts is because there's such a lousy chance you'll actually end up with anything good, no matter how many boxes you open!
If EA read these forums they'd know this. Quemical wrote:

Someday your son will be sitting there telling his own grandkids "and when I was four, my parents made me a town so i could move things around and create streets and stop spending their donuts.". And the grandkids will have a long family conference about what kind of facility would be best for him. ;)
I have a bunch of feeders for my 34 year old son's town. (Betcha thought it stops when they get older, right?). So I have towns with literally thousands of eggs, since I clear them all out at least three times a day. Those towns have been getting very few baskets, but when they do, I shuffle eggs back and forth to generate those extras you mentioned. My son's town has won 4 free baskets this entire event. And my main town is worse. So every day I play musical-towns with all those feeders and my sons town has squat.

I had gotten about eight baskets until about two days ago, and I've gotten none since. Is anyone else noticing a change in frequency? Seems like EA's not too happy with the stupid basket sales so far.
I've actually been getting a hell of a lot of blue ones since the update and only 1 pink one. I feel like the frequency has increased...neuroheart wrote:
I haven't gotten any baskets since I finished the easter questline. There are rumors that the baskets stop until you get the Faberg? egg. It's angry-letter level aggravating.
^ This- Those baskets were the key to finishing the event without having to spend donuts and now that has been taken away from us. How are we supposed to finish it now without spending donuts?

It's EA's master plan, make people spend money.
Looks like i'm gonna have to drop some cash to buy some donuts and get another barn of eggs to even get close to the prizes, since there are no baskets popping up, and i know the way the chance function is in this game, i'll just get nothing but crap, forcing me to drop more cash to try again.
EA are an evil corporation who deserve a mention in a Simpsons Halloween episode as part of Mr Burns evil republican party... and then be tortured by Ralph who is sticking up for us hard pressed and pissed off players
They are evil i tell you
Evil
This is what they want, don't give in to them! The prizes aren't that good anyway! would you spend the same amount of donuts you could waste trying to get something in the box on the same prize if it was available in the usual buy menu? If not then don't do it!
For example if Shary Bobbins was worth, say, 120 donuts, and you plan on spending that amount or more on eggs with the likelihood of still not winning her and ending up with a load of fences, ponds and egg piles - it's not worth it!
Save your money neighbour - don't give in to their twisted system! :P
