I was an intense fan...

I learned one thing from this update. It did not pay to buy donuts and then eggs. I bought 50.00 dollars worth of donuts and they all went to buying various eggs. I spent 100 donuts on 2 4550 golden eggs and got nothing but junk. I only needed Shari Bobbins. At one time I had 10 family members playing. Now just me and here and there my husband. They all left over the Easter update. After this I will now become a freemium player. I don't like the chance prizes. I like to earn what I get. Last I knew I had over 100 Easter fences. It just is not worth it.

I WAS a diehard premium player, but my premium status started faltering during Valentine's day. I did buy donuts to get my prizes, and I got them all. Fast forward to this event... I spent over 100 donuts to get all of the prizes and did not clear 'the boxes'.

Mind you, I have no problem with paying for a game to continue the development, But the nail in the coffin is this grind of an event. I paid money in hopes to getting what I paid for, yet I did not. (you freemium players are much more wise... If only i saw the light earlier ). I was happy to pay my own hard earned money for something I knew I could get. I'm not a gambler, yet I wasted donuts on this farce of an event.

100 donuts for nothing. I guess that goes hand-in-hand with gambling, BUT I AM NOT SPENDING MY MONEY ON GAMBLING ANYMORE. I am no longer spending money on this game. You had a loyal customer. You lost one.

  • I completely agree. The last thing I did before logging out was a simple "I quit" hedge arrangement.

I've never failed to complete an event before and this time I wasn't even close - didn't even get enough fences to suck out. I feel bad that people spent $$$ on this event, but, barring some form of Mia Culpa and way to get the prizes I missed, I'm done with TSTO.

    Perfect.

    Yep

True story. EA is renowned for being a crappy company, so until they can figure out what customer service is, they will never get another dime from me. I'm more than sure others will wisely follow suit.

I play because I grew up on The Simpsons. Other then chance based events, I have no complaints. Community prizes weren't fair either. You could log in without any participation and receive rewards. The game is an ever evolving work in progress. And that's how it has to be.

Community prizes were a hell of a lot more fair than this chance based crap though. They should bring back the community prizes or a least do a mix of both like the christmas event.

    ^ this.

Or with this chance crap you could log in every five minutes, earn currency, spin wheel/boxes, get crap.
  • Easter Event = Worst. Event. Ever.

Seriously though, I've always had a bit of trouble swallowing how insanely cheap/stingy EA has been with earning Freemium content/currency, but this last event has been so overwhelmingly cheap/stingy that I've almost quit in frustration. I don't mind spending a few bucks now and again, but Easter and it's lottery feel put a stop to that. No way will I spend a nickel on these type of random chance events.

Do you hear me EA/Origin? NO WAY WILL I SPEND ONE THIN DIME ON THESE TYPES OF EVENTS.
