Im a bit confused...
You tap on their buildings to get gift cards...and if they leave you gifts in your Springfield (you have to have the tree placed), you tap on those. Hope that helps.

Just kidding. I can tell most of my neighbors are not donut buyers so I doubt they will buy the cute little elf house for 60 donuts. :)
