I came across this on reddit, and I felt like such a fool because it's true. I bought the Sushi restaurant with donuts I won from one of those golden scratch r's, as I just thought "oh hell, why not", It's not like I paid the real price for them. It never occurred to me, what I was actually buying was an advertisement, a promotion spot, and what's even better, is it's something I'm not even nostalgic about. I never bought the fruit batman because at the time I knew I wouldn't care if I had him or not. If it had been Lyle Langley I wouldn't have batted an eye lid in purchasing him, but I went against my own principles with this one.

If they release more episode tie ins, then don't pay for a promotion, they need you to watch The Simpsons, so stop letting them get around you because it's just wrong. You would never pay to see a promotion anywhere else so don't put up with from a game.

However if you have your reasons for wanting those items and are happy to pay for them, then it's all good because The sushi building is a nice addition but I can't help feeling a little stung.

Yeah and they're the clever ones because we buy it.

The tie-ins should be free. The greedy trend continues.

There were free items. The entitlement trend continues.

EA just gave us the first couple of tastes for free. Now that we're hooked, we gotta pay. Sound like something???

Is that why when I havn't gotten any new content for a while I feel like...

Would be better if they were free for the week of the tie in, then were available for donuts for a while. I would gladly pay a few donuts for the duff racer.

I don't get why people want the Racer so much. It's nothing special and doesn't do anything unlike the other vehicles that came afterwards. Do people want it solely on the rarity of it?

For me it's partly the rarity, but it's also the fact that I think it looks good so it's an aesthetic thing as well.

It's really cool looking. I wasn't playing when it came out, so I can't regret it. But I'll buy it, if offered again.
  • The duff car is not good I don't know where to put it it looks out of place every where
  • I'm with Walter on this. I'd rather have Fat Tony over the Duff Racer any day of the week. Luckily I have both. But at least with Fat Tony, you get an extra character that brings me money & that I can assign tasks to

Plus he's one awesome character. I just wish he had a voice

I still like it but yes it doesn't really fit anywhere. It looks ok with the duff building or the downs.

I think I have even used it with the bowlorama. Never really fits anywhere.

If I had one, I'd put it on my driver training track next to my adult annex.
