Idea concepts
I've left a comment before about how great a sewing/quilting expansion or game pack could be and some things that could be included. Recently a survey about kits came out and most I didn't like because it was things we already have. The issue is, the stuff I really want would add gameplay which EA won't do. So I really need to put out stuff or game packs for the type of play we want/need and that would expand the kit options. Not dlc for dlc so much as repurposing an item from the packs for kits. Things I'd like to see - more toys for kids. Not toys rhay pick up and move around with animations that only work imagination skill. But things like fake brooms/vacuums they could play with(probably still imagination) but cross pack could increase responsibility, stack games or shape games that increase logic, mini kitchen, xylophone, etc. Playground for kids, like a normal Playground actual people would have in their yard/garden. And even for toddlers too. Add more sports like volleyball, pickleball, tennis, actual soccer, etc or even some gym pack even though we've gotten those, we want more equipment like dumbbells, squat racks, kettlebell, barre rails, medicine balls, and on and on; then you could have so many kits for clutter or other variations of equipment.
As I know many people have stated, start coming out with more basic, universal versions of a specific item type that could be easily mixed with other packs. For example, a couch kit or living room seating kit where it's just variations of all chairs and couches. Could do this for beds/bedrooms, rugs, desks, kitchen counters/cabinets, windows/doors, lightinf, architect elements, literally anything. It sounds ridiculous because we have a lot of all those things but most packs are so theme specific it be hard to find basic universal larger pieces to use. I usually have a few accents and then other things are more simple and I end up using tje same items over and over over. Even some nice items I could use, then have terrible swatches. Updating all swatches would probably help a lot but unlikely. Could do the same for cass. Create essentials, or a core wardrobe or whatever it's called. Simple items to pair with whatever to crest more looks.
Sorry this was long, but to me the issue with the kit concepts, pack concepts, basically anything is it's rare to get new gameplay items that are compatible with most gameplay types. Hobby items or activities specifically. So when we get kits which don't contain new gameplay, it's just new meshes of the same old gameplay items I'm soft of like eh don't need that. By not adding more activities, and allowing those activities to then be included in kits so it's not dlc for dlc, EA is seriously limiting what they can sell later on. One or two small gameplay items from larger packs is likely not going to pursuant someone to just buy the kit over the pack, unless they just wanted that one item and honestly if they were going go spend that much money a pack for one or two items they are probably going to spend the money either way. I'm literally giving EA ideas and ways to be more cash grabby that will also expand gameplay.
Final note, for the love of God start adding some gameplay in the world other food stalls, fishing, etc. Like I'm sorry, it wouldn't be that hard to do little and have it make a big impact. I think the marbles in for rent or the tarot cards are good examples. A lot of other collectibles are useless and it's just digging. Other similar things you could do:
stamp collecting (cmon elders) and have them at different shops or even vending machines that change that forces simmers to go into the world and keep checking back, Could overlap with the postcards collections which I also think is a decent one.
Comic book collections. Could do something like book fairs where you buy them at or Comic book stores so again you have to go there to find them all over time. This could allow for fun activities or interactions for kids/teens.
The sims4 team, or maybe it's ea, need to think past what already exist in the game to basics that don't that could open the door to so much more. What are you people doing.
