Do you think that every negative commentary has exactly the same quality and tone as every other negative commentary? And do you believe that i'm lying about my opinion of "Cartridge Family" as well, now?

Well, I don't. What is your point? You still think I'm lying, and now think I'm lying about my opinion of "Cartridge Family" too? All I'm seeing are insinuations. Not that I accept your contention that you are an authority on what I 'should' and 'should not' think is bad writing, why is this important? What does it prove?

If you want to know what's going on in my head, read the words I wrote. I certainly do appreciate the writing on the show better. If the show were written as poorly as the game, we wouldn't be having this conversation now-- the Simpsons would have had the cultural impact of Bob's Burgers, and been long forgotten. By the way, the only people on my side are the ones posting about the crappy writing posing as "satire". The "cold dead hands" crowd, I take no ownership of that.

Also, the nature of the satire SHOULD depend on the nature of the subject, no? One would expect a little more bite to satire that commented on potentially harmful political ideology than say differences in race.

All bite and no humor makes for bad satire, regardless of the object.
