Assuming everyone sees the same clock, I watched it for a minute and noticed the thousands moved up from 1 to 2 to 3 every fourth total, while the numbers before and after go nutty. That seems really unlikely that from one second to the next its roughly a perfect 10000, but every fourth time its 11000. Ill keep playing regardless, but I think its fake.
It's going up 10,240 per second for me at the moment. I think that probably explains what you're seeing.- at this point who really cares

Caring has nothing to do with it, but it is fun to speculate on the thought process behind EA and it's community goo counter. You know try to get in to the head of our game overlords to see what they might do next and then to try to prepare for what's to come.irishladsoca wrote:

Apparently you care enough to read through the thread and comment on it...- Absolutely fake. At least in its current form. No way in hell EA is tallying up all our goo in real time, like the counter suggests. It is nearly impossible to do this on a second by second basis and be accurate across multiple severs world wide.
Conclusion: http://mairus.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/fake.gif - The time it takes to get to the next billion has slowed down. we hit 5 billion at 1:30 AM CST on the 8th, 6 billion at 12 AM CST on the 9, 7 billion at 11 PM CST on the 9, 8 billion at 10 PM CST on the 10, and it looks like 9 billion around 10 PM CST on the 11. It is still 1 billion a day but it went from 23 hours to 22.5 hours to 23 hours to 23 hours to 24 hours. I have been keeping track of the time it takes to get to the next billion only not the amount of goo per second.
These times are not exact but as close as I could get them without watching the count and clock every second. hasanmohamma wrote:

By this rate a billion a day would make sense. Tomorrow which is Saturday night we will have the cat zombie at 10 billion goos. Then a billion a day would make us get the Ghost Bomb for 15 billion goos by Thursday and so on. Do you see the pattern one prize per week !
As long as it stays right around 24 hours each billion we will hit 25 billion on the 27th, but it could continue to slow but I would still bet we would get the last one by halloween.
