No comparison.
Everything you said, plus we have some control over the crafting materials because there are so many jobs to earn stuff!
I haven't crafted anything yet, either, but I don't despair that it will be impossible. I'm leveled up as far as I think I need to go, and there's plenty of time to get materials for stuff. Even if that weren't true, though, the characters are all prizes or unlocked through questline or premiums, so if I can't craft everything I don't miss out too bad. Might not get a lot of cane or walls, but that's fine so long as I can get the characters.cdepast wrote:
No. Easter was bad because it was all chance based. You couldn't even spend donuts to complete it. This event is all achievable through grinding it out. And if you dont want to grind you can either speed up with donuts, or skip certain prizes. No comparison.
I wasn't comparing *how* the event is played -chance VS grinding it out. The comparison was more based on frustration and lack of achievability. I am grinding as much as I can. I've got every member of my town on short tasks for 4 bags and hour and I'm still so far back I'll never craft any of this stuffLancemountain37 wrote:

I still don't think it's nearly as frustrating. If/when I go for the gas and grub, I will not end up with a cane field instead. I will get the building I want instead of a random number of decorations I don't want. And with most of my characters now able to earn at least one crafting material, I'm not worried about numbers at all.- Not remotely anything like Easter 14, at any point you can decided that you've upgraded enough for now and craft whatever item you fancy if you so wish, also there's around another 5 weeks left to gain supplies so no need to despair just yet.
- Definitely nowhere near as bad as Easter, I've been upgrading and tasking and only just scrapped by to get FM in time. I've made sure my mutant seeds go to people who I know play several times a day to get the max
No this isn't Easter. But like Easter I believe it is highly unlikely to be a completionist (unless one's wallet is opened up). I think that is what is bugging people, we want to obtain everything and have grown accustomed to being able to do so in the other events with some effort. It seems that we will have to pick and choose which items we craft. At least the Act prizes are obtainable.- well I dislike it as much as the Easter event. As soon as I get the two items I want I shall not bother anymore. First time I've thought that in the two and a half years I have been playing.
- blackgryphon9999Seasoned NoviceIMO, this is light years better than that Easter event. I'm really enjoying it. :-D

Simplicity.
I concur.
At some long if you really want something in this event you can throw donuts at it- easter had none of that, so a lot of people were left out on things- because of the chance. And while I get you weren't comparing the chance part- that's why most people hated it. This one has complaints based mostly in confusion and complexity....
And like many have said in many threads- I Really feel it's waaay too early to panic about this one.
