Yes! You can only have 8 turkeys in your town at a time, and there is no bank for storing more. Try turning off your buildings, roads and trees to look for more. Also they spawn from the SH tunnel.

That happens to me as well. And also, when I do find a turkey I'll click on my "regular" turkey that does not yield any drumstick.
