I had the same issue, but turned my iPad off and back on. Doing so seemed to nudge the game to download more updates. Had to log into the game again, but I’m in.
Might not work for everyone, but thought it was worth mentioning :smile:
Also worked for my iPhone (downloaded update, couldn’t get in to game, turned phone off and on, restarted game, game downloaded more updates, game worked - no logging in for this one). :smile:
