I have this sneaking suspicion (PURE conspiracy) that EA doesn't count Premium items towards item cap.

Also do larger items take up more space? I feel like we’ve had a lot of larger items in recent events - playground in badlands event, and a lot of the international buildings like bucking ham palace,etc.
Plus itchy and scratchy land and now the zoo have some bigger item that take up more space.
I’ve said before -theitem limit is killing the enjoyment for me,which after 6 years of playing is really disappointing

Afraid not. :(- raising it by 100 but adding 150 new items* every 35-45 days is really not good enough.
Better than nothing but long-time players or design enthusiasts always have to do more with less.
* including multiples of fences and trees, obviously. - I’m completely over the item cap. I was close, but fine for a long while, then they moved Krusty Land into the regular town and I had to store half of my stuff
